Citizen Police Academy

The Citizen Police Academy is an eight-week program designed to give the public a working knowledge of the Horizon City Police Department. Each session consists of weekly classes that meet at Horizon City PD Headquarters. The instruction is comprehensive, each week different units within the department are covered. The goal is to educate the public about the Horizon City Police Department and to maintain the amazing relationship between citizens and police officers.

We hope the graduates of the Citizen Police Academy become more aware and better informed about how the Police Department operates, and will encourage friends, coworkers and families to join the Horizon City Police Department in this rewarding program.

• Cost: ALL CLASSES ARE FREE!
• Dates: The Citizens’ Police Academy is usually held twice a year and consists of a two hour class, every week for 8 weeks. Spring and Fall sessions. 
• The times of the class are 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
